"ALAULA" (pronounced, ah-lah-ooh-lah), Kauwila's first recording, is a celebration of the joy of the many, many inspiring sunsets Kauwila has experienced during his time living on the islands of Hawai'i and O'ahu. "Alaula" literally means "flaming road" or "red path". Similarly, "Ala 'ula" means "sacred path". Kauwila believes that, as we follow the sacred path of the Sun, our inner Sun, we are led to our true purpose upon this Earth. May this CD help each of you discover and follow your own sacred path. All the tracks (except Aloha 'Oe) are originals by Kauwila.

"Alaula" is an "enhanced" CD, which means that in addition to the music, it also contains beautiful photos of sunsets taken by Kauwila, from O'ahu and the Big Island.
