"IN THE SPIRIT OF HAWAI'I" is a selection of uplifting spiritual music and songs sacred to Hawai'i, including Hawai'i Aloha, Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, and Ke Aloha o ka Haku (Lili'uo'kalani's Prayer). With vocals in Hawaiian and English, and accompanied by Kauwila's slack key guitar, this CD inspires the Heart and uplifts the spirit.

"These songs embody and reflect the spiritual diversity on the islands. Ke Aloha o ka Haku, written by an imprisoned Hawaiian Queen Lili'uokalani, was a prayer of forgiveness for her captors. Hawai'i Aloha, one of the most often sung melodies in Hawai'i, was written by Rev. Lorenzo Lyons, a Christian missionary who learned to speak Hawaiian fluently. He translated many hymns into the Hawaiian language.
